HOME LIFE: Dan grew up in Glendale, Arizona and moved to Cache Valley at the age of 19. He’s married to Jenni and they have four kids, three boys and one girl.
EDUCATION: Dan attended Cactus High School in Glendale, then attended USU after moving to Utah.
VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Dan began playing beach volleyball at age 15, then played indoor club volleyball for North Valley in Phoenix his junior and senior year. He continued to play beach volleyball in and after high school. By the age of 17 he was ranked 8th in the state of Arizona as a semi-pro beach volleyball player as well as being a top 3 indoor player in the state. After moving to Cache Valley he continued playing beach volleyball and also played for the USU men’s team.
COACHING CAREER: Dan has been involved with coaching for 16 years. He has coached 12 years of club volleyball and 6 years of high school volleyball. Dan coached for 6 seasons at Logan High, 4 years as the head coach and 2 years as an assistant coach.
WHY I COACH: "I coach because I love helping others to progress and achieve their goals. I also happen to absolutely love the game of volleyball. It’s a great way to stay involved with the game and help others develop a love for the sport.”
