HOME LIFE: Cali was born and raised in Cache Valley and has loved every minute of it! She has six siblings, three sisters and three brothers, but only lives with one brother and her mom, Kelsey. They live in Benson, UT. Their family is a family of athletes and most of them went to USU. Her mom played volleyball and her dad played basketball.
EDUCATION: Cali graduated from Sky View High School in 2016. She participated in volleyball (obviously) and cheerleading. She loved both of them very much and feels lucky that she was able to be a part of her school community! After high school she went to Southwestern Oregon Community College (SWOCC) on a scholarship to play volleyball. She only stayed for one term of school and volleyball season, but enjoyed most of her time in Oregon. Her plan is to go back to USU in the spring of 2018.
VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Besides her one year of volleyball at SWOCC, Cali played volleyball for the 4 years of high school. Additionally, she played North Peak Volleyball Club, now Mountain Peak, for about 3 years. Freshman year was the first time she was exposed to volleyball and actually made the team almost by accident! She had played soccer forever and wanted to be on the school team. She got cut from soccer 1 day before volleyball tryouts and decided to go for it. And what do ya know, she made the team! She loved being a part of the school team and club team.
WHY I COACH: "I want to be as involved as I can with this sport. I love to watch it, play it, talk about it, ANYTHING about volleyball I LOVE. I'm excited to start coaching for my first year and love being around people who love this sport just as much as I do."
