CLUB TRYOUT SCHEDULE

MPV requires that everyone tryout in their predetermined age groups. Some players do play up, but at the request of MPV only.

TRYOUT DATES

10U, 11U, 12U

  • Wednesday, October 5 from 4-6 PM

  • Thursday, October 6 from 4-6 PM

 

13U

  • Monday, October 3 from 4-6:30 PM

  • Thursday, October 6 from 6:30-8:30 PM

 

14U

  • Monday, October 3 from 6:30-9 PM

  • Wednesday, October 5 from 6:30-8:30 PM

 

15U

  • Tuesday, November 1 from 4-6:30 PM

  • Wednesday, November 2 from 4:30-6:30 PM

 

16U-18U

  • Tuesday, November 1 from 7-9:30 PM

  • Wednesday, November 2 from 7-9 PM

 

TRYOUT PROCESS

Tryouts are broken into three parts. All participants are first physically tested (height, reach, approach jump, and shuttle run). Next, athletes are statistically and subjectively evaluated on their individual skills such as hitting, setting, passing, digging, and blocking skills. Then, athletes will be evaluated in live play situations. All participants have multiple opportunities to play in various situations.

 

At the end of the tryout, the process for announcing teams will be explained to all participants. Mtn Peak Volleyball will make every effort to create as many teams as possible and place each athlete on a team appropriate for their skill level. Participants accept their spot by signing the player contract and paying the deposit. The contract and payment are all online. Parents will need access to their e-mail accounts in order to receive team information.  If you are paying IN FULL with a check, this must be received at the Mtn Peak facility within 48 hours of the commit deadline. Venmo is an option when paying in full, but if you select to add the service fee, you will be responsible for paying that additional fee. Parents who pay in full by the deadline will receive a free parent t-shirt.

 

For our national teams, verbal commits may be required during the tryout process. Timely commits allow the club to make adjustments where needed as soon as possible and field competitive teams at every level.

**Note for Payment for National Qualifiers & Nationals:

- National Qualifiers ($350 each) will be invoiced before December 31. These will be due 4 weeks prior to the event start date. Late payments will have a $50 late fee added.

- All National GREEN teams will plan to attend either USAV (must qualify) or AAU Nationals.

- The regular season goes until the end of April. Teams attending Nationals will have an extended season going through May/June. This extended season will have its own fee ($250) which will cover trainings and facility use, as well as the fee for Nationals ($350), a total of $600.
