GIRL'S CLUB INFORMATION
2024-2025 GIRLS CLUB TEAM TRYOUTS
MPV offers club teams for players in grades 3-12. Check out the information below to learn more about our club teams and upcoming tryouts and Academy registration.
TYPES OF CLUB TEAMS:
MPV offers three divisions/levels of teams:
1. MPV National [November-April; Extended Season May-June]
"National" teams require the most commitment. These teams will play in tournaments that require out-of-state travel, some of which require flights. Sunday play is required. These teams will attend 1-3 National Qualifiers (separate fee) throughout the season in addition to their regular season tournaments (five 2-day tournaments or 9-10 tournament days) which are included with the regular season dues.
National Black teams will receive Power & Agility (12 weeks) and PEAK (12-18 weeks) included, in addition to NT skills trainings. SportsRecruits and Balltime AI software will be offered as an additional optional add-on for NB teams. NB teams will have 2 National Qualifiers automatically added to their fees upon registration (SLC Showdown - $250 & 1 out of state - $375).
National Green teams may attend USAV Nationals (must qualify) and/or AAU Nationals. Teams attending Nationals will participate in the Extended Season (May-June/July). All National Green teams will have TWO assistant coaches for one of their practices each week (skills-day practice). National Green teams will also receive SportsRecruits (15U-18U) and Balltime AI (13U-18U) software included in their club dues. Power & Agility (12 weeks) and PEAK (12-18 weeks) are included for these teams, in addition to NT skills trainings. NG teams will have 2 National Qualifiers automatically added to their fees upon registration (SLC Showdown - $250 & 1 out of state - $375). Any additional travel tournaments will be separately invoiced.

2. MPV Elite [November-April]
Elite teams are a lower level of commitment compared to National teams. These teams are great for athletes looking to play competitively without the additional travel and commitment. There is no Sunday play for these teams and all tournaments are in-state. Teams will attend six weekend tournaments (mostly 1-day). There is a wide range of play at this level from beginner-advanced and athletes are placed according to age and skill level. Club season ends in April for all Elite teams. Power & Agility and PEAK are included for these teams for 6-10 weeks.

3. MPV Academy & Academy Teams [October-May; competitive season is January-March]
No tryout required - register directly on our Academy page. This program is for athletes who are unable to commit to Elite for an entire season but want to train their skills with the opportunity to play in some tournaments (Academy Teams). Practices will be broken into an hour of skills training sessions. Those participating in the current Academy Team session will also have 30 minutes of competitive game play following skills training. There is no Power & Agility or PEAK training for Academy or Academy teams.

Team invitations are sent within 24 hours of the final tryout. Athletes are expected to commit right away if they would like to reserve their spot on the team. Typically, commits must be completed within 8-10 hours after the invitation has been sent, so make sure to keep an eye on your email inbox. For our national teams, verbal commits may be required during the tryout process. Timely commits allow the club to make adjustments where needed as soon as possible and field competitive teams at every level.

After you commit, you will receive information on your team parent meeting at our 2024-2025 season Open House. At this meeting, you will go over club & team policies, discuss season scheduling, try on gear, get to know the team & parents, and ask any questions you have. Practice schedules will be released mid-November. Team tournament schedules are finalized at the parent meeting. All team practices begin in late November.
