HEAD COACH

3+ YEARS COACHING EXPERIENCE

HOME LIFE: Taylor has lived all over. She has lived in Kansas, Minnesota, Idaho and Utah. Taylor is married and has two little girls, who are three and six years’ old. Taylor’s husband is a software engineer and she has been a stay at home mom, for 6 years. Taylor loves being active, camping with her family, heavy lifting and SHOPPING. Taylor currently lives in Nibley and loves all that Cache Valley has to offer.

EDUCATION: Taylor graduated from Maple Mountain High School, in Spanish Fork, Utah. Then graduated from BYU with a Bachelors Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently on track to attend graduate school, to be a School Counselor, at USU this coming fall.

 

VOLLEYBALL CAREER: Taylor started playing on a team in 3rd grade. In Minnesota, team sports started in elementary school. Taylor was the captain of her team every year from 3rd grade until her Senior year. She also received the State Captains award, for volleyball, her Junior and Senior year, of high school. Taylor played club volleyball for 3 years. Taylor had the opportunity to play college volleyball but decided against the wonderful opportunity to pursue her education to the fullest. Since graduating college she has played on many co-ed and women teams.

COACHING CAREER: Taylor has been private coaching on and off for the last 10 years for 12- 17 year olds. She has specifically loved tweaking girls, on their defense skills. She has been a visiting coaching on and off for one club season and helped as a visiting coach at a couple of high schools. Taylor has also helped with several volleyball clinics. This will be Taylors first year with Mountain Peak Volleyball and she is ecstatic to be joining our team!

WHY I COACH: Taylor loves the sport obviously but more than anything, she believes there is nothing more exciting than watching a child's light turn on. Seeing that success and excitement is an entrancement. Sports are such an excellent way to build character and teaches us how to channel ambition. She loves watching our athletes become, not just amazing volleyball players, but better people in general.
